PAIA and POPIA requests

Purpose of this page

This page explains how to ask Tech Trail Digital Solutions (Pty) Ltd for access to records under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA), and how to exercise your rights over personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Requests about your own personal information (POPIA)

You may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
• give you a description or copy of that information;
• correct, update or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, excessive or unlawfully obtained;
• stop processing your information, or object to processing; or
• withdraw a consent you gave us.

Send your request by email to the Information Officer. Tell us who you are, what you are asking for and how we can reach you. We will verify your identity before we disclose or change anything, and we will respond within a reasonable time and in any event within the periods set by law. Requests to confirm whether we hold your information are free.

Requests for access to other records (PAIA)

Requests for access to records held by a private body are made using the prescribed form (Form 2 under the PAIA Regulations), available from the Information Regulator’s website. Send the completed form to the Information Officer by email.

Prescribed fees may apply to requests for records that are not your own personal information. We will tell you in writing if a fee is payable before we process the request. We may refuse access only on the grounds set out in PAIA, and if we do we will give you written reasons.

Records we hold

As a professional services company, we hold records such as company and statutory records, tax and financial records, employment records, client and supplier contracts and correspondence, and the enquiries we receive. This website does not store visitor data.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) through its website, inforegulator.org.za, or apply to court as provided in PAIA.
